Be an Ambassador for Just & Sustainable
Agriculture in NC
We want YOU to be an Ambassador for Just & Sustainable Agriculture! The 2007 session of the NC Legislature has come to a close, and we have a lot to look forward to in next year's session. Together, we can win on legislation that supports organic farming and safe workplaces for farmworkers in 2008. Until next May when the legislative session begins, your NC representatives are on a break, and back in their hometowns near you. This is a golden opportunity for you to meet with them in person while they're close by, and outside the pressure-cooker atmosphere of the General Assembly. Tell them you want food that is healthy for our bodies, the environment, and for the people who grow it! Sign up today to be an ambassador for just & sustainable agriculture. Toxic Free NC will help you to arrange and prepare for a meeting with one of your state representatives during this Fall or next Spring, together with up to 4 other like-minded people in your district. You don't need any particular experience or expertise - just a willingness to explain why farming that respects the environment and human health is important to you! To sign up, you can fill out the form, below, or call us at 919-833-1123. |
