Toxic Free NC is thrilled to be celebrating not one, not two, but three exciting anniversary milestones this fall, all of which are possible because of our wonderful supporters and friends. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Read on about the accomplishments you helped us achieve. Then find out how you can celebrate with us!
Five Years of the School Children’s Health Act. It’s been five years since the School Children’s Health Act became law in NC.
Last month it went into full effect, requiring all public schools in our state to use least-toxic methods to protect students and staff from pests AND pesticides. Here’s to five years of schools switching to safer pest control!
Ten Years of Fawn Pattison. Ten years ago, a twenty-six-year-old graduate school refugee named Fawn took the helm of an organization with a budget left short by a recession.
As the sole employee, she worked with the Board to steadily grow the organization, and grow her own skills and leadership in the process. Today she leads Toxic Free NC’s staff of four in a variety of programs and services designed to fulfill our vision of a healthier and more equitable state where children’s food, water and bodies are toxic-free.
Our sincerest thanks and congratulations to Fawn on ten years of progress, vision, hard work and even some fun along the way.
Twenty-Five Years of Toxic Free NC. We’re celebrating the 25th anniversary of Toxic Free NC’s founding! It’s been a wonderful 25 years of fighting toxic pesticide pollution in the beautiful state of North Carolina.
Though our accomplishments have been many, we’re by no means resting on our laurels: North Carolina’s children deserve toxic-free places to grow and learn, safe food to eat and clean water to drink, and we know there’s much more work to do before that vision is a reality. We believe we can do it because we have YOU, the partners, supporters, volunteers, activists, and friends who’ve been making all our work possible since 1986.
Celebrate with Us!
Here’s to another quarter-century of progress towards a healthier and more equitable Toxic Free North Carolina. Thank you for your support, and for putting your faith in us.
We want you to join us in celebrating these milestones and help us create the next set of achievements. Here are a few ways you can help:
