NC Pesticide Board finally adopts federal Worker Protection Standards - Toxic Free NC brings farmworkers to testify there for the first time

1994


Parents in Pitt County win first school IPM policy in North Carolina

Toxic Free NC helps the town of Chapel Hill institute IPM in its public housing

Toxic Free NC forces revisions of the NC Groundwater Study, finding consistent pesticide contamination across the state.

1998

 


Groundbreaking agreement with electric utilities allows landowners to refuse herbicide spraying on power lines on their property.

1999

 


NC Supreme Court overturns Meads case, upholding the right of NCDA to regulate pesticides.

US Pesticide Industry names Carrboro, NC (Toxic Free NC's then-home) one of the nation's "Top 10 Anti-Pesticide Hot Spots."
