Volunteer Superstars
by Billie Karel - Vea el artículo en español
Toxic Free NC owes much of its success to the work of volunteers. We're starting this new "Volunteer Superstars" feature to highlight the work of some of our most dedicated and active volunteers. In this issue, we bring you two exceptional Toxic Free NC volunteers: Jasmine Wilson and Christopher Grohs. Enjoy!
 |
Jasmine Wilson has been volunteering with Toxic Free NC over the course of the past 4 years, ever since she was a freshman in high school. She’s worked at our information and activity booths each year with passion and professionalism, and has even recruited and trained other volunteers for us. In the fall, Jasmine’s headed to Montreal to study vocal performance at McGill University. Thank you so much for all your help, Jasmine, and good luck! |
It's always been such a pleasure to work with you, Jasmine. Have a great time at school in Montreal - we'll miss you very much!

Christopher Grohs quickly made himself an indispensable part of Toxic Free NC’s team when he started volunteering last winter. Chief among Christopher’s list of impressive projects is coordinating LOVE BUG: The Great Bug Draw Off, a fundraising party for Toxic Free NC. This bug drawing contest and art exhibit featured works by local artists all about insects, healthy food and sustainable farming. |
Christopher, we can’t thank you enough for your energy, passion and dedication.
For more information about any of the projects mentioned here, or to get more involved as a volunteer, please contact Billie at 919-833-1123, or email her. Thank you!
