Help us line up legislative victories for 2010 - Be an Ambassador for Just & Sustainable Agriculture this Fall!

The NC General Assembly has finished up its work for 2009, and they won't be back in Raleigh until Spring of 2010—but that doesn’t mean it’s time to relax!

Since most of the legislation we told you about in our last newsletter is still in play, we can take advantage of this intersession period to tell our legislators about the importance of sustainable food, farmland preservation, safe workplaces for farm workers and PDBE-free household products.

This fall and winter will be a perfect time to get in touch with your representatives about these issues while they’re back at home, closer to you and have more time to spend with constituents. Consider becoming an Ambassador for Just & Sustainable Agriculture – Toxic Free NC can help you meet like-minded people from your area and arrange a group meeting with your legislator.

If you’d like to invite us to your church, book club or other community group to talk about any of these issues, or if you’d like materials you can share with folks yourself, please call Billie at 919-833-1123 – we'd love for you to be involved!

Many thanks.
