Support Toxic Free NC
by Becoming an Earth Share Friend
Founded in 1991, Earth Share of
North Carolina has raised almost $4 million on behalf of
the non-profit organizations that protect North Carolina's
environment, including Toxic Free NC. ESNC’s
primary mission is to raise money for member organizations
through workplace giving campaigns conducted in public- and
private-sector businesses throughout North Carolina.
A workplace giving campaign is
a simple, easy way to support the environment. Individuals
can designate their gifts to Earth Share of North Carolina
or to one or more member organizations. Participation in
ESNC allows organizations like Toxic Free NC to reach new
audiences, raise more money for our programs, and increase
our visibility in the communities we serve.
We need Friends like you!
ESNC Friends are volunteers who
help by spreading the word to co-workers, friends, and peers
about the vital work ESNC groups are doing to protect NC’s
natural resources, and the easy way employees can support
environmental groups through their workplace giving campaign.
Friend activities generally take place in the summer and
early fall.
A Friend can promote ESNC and
ESNC organizations in the following ways:
-
Talk to co-workers one on one about your interest
in Earth Share of North Carolina and/or its participating
organizations (like Toxic Free NC).
-
Make ESNC brochures and promotional items available
to co-workers.
-
Place posters in the break room or other appropriate
spots in your office building.
ESNC and its groups are also
available to make presentations at participating workplaces
year round.
Earth Share of North Carolina
is an important resource for Toxic Free NC, and we are
proud to be a part of it. You can help us spread the word
by becoming an ESNC Friend
– just contact Toxic Free NC by
email,
or call (919) 833-5333.
Many North Carolina businesses,
government offices, colleges and universities participate
in workplace giving with Earth Share of North Carolina,
but if your employer does not participate in workplace
giving, you can help! To join the growing number of North
Carolinians who give at work to help protect our state's
environment, e-mail ESNC at info@earthsharenc.org, or call1-800-200-6311
and find out how you can include Earth Share of North Carolina
in your employee giving campaign.
