Levy Schroeder - Executive Director

Levy leads Toxic Free NC's efforts to educate North Carolinians about pesticide hazards and common-sense alternatives to toxic chemicals, to watchdog the government agencies that regulate pesticides and toxic chemicals, and to change the way our communities view and use pesticides and toxic chemicals, especially where people are at greatest risk from exposure.

Before joining Toxic Free NC in 2013, she served as the Director of Health and Safety Programs at the Association of Farmworker Opportunity Programs (AFOP), where she led the organization's efforts to bring farmworker health and safety programming to its membership agencies.

Dileep

Dileep Dadlani - Development Director

Dileep joined the team in July 2014 and leads Toxic Free NC’s philanthropy efforts by identifying and developing successful relationships with individual donors, foundations, corporations and volunteers. Dileep has over a decade of nonprofit development experience focusing on health related fundraising, marketing, strategic planning, and advocacy. He has led countless fundraising events and activities as a participant, volunteer, advisor, and staff.

Having a passion for cycling, running, the outdoors, and clean living only inspires him to further the mission and vision of a toxic free North Carolina. His adopted motto “Be the change you wish to see in the world” defines his personal and professional life. Originally from Palm Beach, Florida, Dileep received his BA from Florida International University.

Preston

Preston Peck - Policy Advocate

Originally from Alabama, Preston comes to Toxic Free NC by way of Vermont where he was a Community Organizer/Policy and Strategy Analyst for the Vermont Workers Center. During his time at the Vermont Workers Center he engaged with communities across the state by facilitating informational workshops and self-advocacy trainings.

Preston’s passion for people and the environment stem from his upbringing in rural Alabama and a family history deeply rooted in farming and politics. Preston holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Political Science from Birmingham-Southern College and is currently pursuing a Master’s of Arts in Sustainable Development with a concentration in Policy Advocacy and Methods. Preston is excited to be part of the Toxic Free NC team and continue working with communities to help develop legislation that truly reflects the values of all North Carolinians. In his free time, Preston enjoys backpacking, skiing, and riding his bike on Raleigh’s beautiful Greenway.

Morgan

Morgan Price - Office Manager

Morgan supports the Toxic Free NC team by ensuring smooth, efficient execution of office procedures, handling issues related to organizational operations and providing direct administrative support to the Executive Director.  Prior to joining Toxic Free NC, she was a Program Coordinator at Duke University. Morgan has years of professional experience in administrative and programmatic efforts with an emphasis on grant management, finances, and community building.  She has always had a strong desire to contribute to non-profit organizations, as well as make a difference in today’s society.  While not at work, you will find Morgan volunteering, playing basketball or with her very hyper black lab.

Rosa

Rosa Saavedra - Community Engagement Manager

Rosa has extensive experience as a labor and community organizer utilizing participatory methods. She developed a regional leadership and development program for the Latino community in the Southeast - Pueblos de Latinoamerica program at Highlander Research and Education Center in Tennessee. Prior to joining Toxic Free NC, Rosa assisted farmers applying for discrimination relief through the Pigford and Hispanic & Women Farmers and Ranchers claims processes. She is committed to including the voices of every North Carolinian in the effort to make North Carolina a toxic free state. Rosa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts at NCSU in Liberal Studies with concentrations in Sustainable Agriculture and Natural Resource Management.

Dylan

Dylan Williams - Program Manager

Dylan joined Toxic Free NC in October of 2014. Prior to joining the team, Dylan worked with Coal River Mountain Watch in West Virginia conducting community outreach shortly after the Elk River chemical spill in early 2014. Dylan has also previously worked in Nicaragua distributing ceramic water filters and conducting trainings in some of the most marginalized communities in the area. Dylan holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish language and culture. Currently in pursuit of his Master’s of Arts in Sustainable Development with a concentration in Non-Profit Business Management, he looks forward to working with communities in North Carolina to create effective programming for systemic change. A native of Asheville, Dylan is happy to be back in North Carolina, furthering Toxic Free NC’s mission and exploring the outdoors and hiking whenever he can.
